Mensagem para os Escoteiros

Subject: WORLDinfo - 5 December 2006

Dear Fellow Scouts,

It gives me great pleasure to send you this message, on behalf of World
Scouting, to thank you for the support you give to Scouting.

This is a tremendously exciting time for our Movement, as we enter our
second century, and you should be very proud of your contribution at
local, national or international level.

I am sure that you will be very involved in many activities over the
next 12 months, but we should not forget that for Scouting to grow even
stronger, we need to involve more adults.

We need to share our volunteer experience with others.

During 2007 Scouts world-wide will be taking part in special programmes
to mark our Centenary. We plan to invite all former Scouts and friends
of Scouting to be part of these special celebrations too, especially on
1 August for Scouting's Sunrise. It is by sharing our volunteering
experience that new volunteers will be recruited.

Scouting will grow and develop when it attracts more volunteers to share
their time and talents with us.

So thank you for volunteering to support Scouting. Please proudly and
proactively tell your friends and family how much Scouting means to you
and set yourself a target to recruit at least one friend or colleague to
Scouting as your gift for the centenary.

We will all see the benefits in years to come.

On behalf of 28 million Scouts world-wide, thank you for your support.

Yours in Scouting,

Mr. Herman C.S. Hui
Chairman of the World Scout Committee
